We’re looking for strategic thinkers to support our pilot and scale-up initiatives in solving some of the most challenging problems the adolescents and youth are facing right now. You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to improve the quality of life for underserved communities across the country. Position

Curriculum and Material Development Specialist, BRAC Youth Platform

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Enhance the education quality system of BYP through innovating and improving teaching learning materials for facilitators, moderators and students, assessment system in align with programme, national and global demands and standards.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the developed materials, assessment and teaching methods by analysing test data, research findings, impact studies, school visits and feedback from management staff.
Carrying out intense field observation on a regular basis to determine the real portrait of the programme quality and also to give required feedback directly to relevant team, staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality education system is functioning properly
Identifying programs training needs by consulting with stakeholders (adolescents and youth, parents etc)
Design detailed program curriculums, including topics and number of hours required per training.
Create engaging training course content (videos, quizzes and other interactive activities etc)
Determine evaluation criteria for each curriculum.
Provide manuals and guidelines on how to use online training material.
Follow up with trainees and training institutions after each training to collect feedback.
Manage, create and maintain documentation for compliance and accreditation purposes for all projects delivered by BYP.
Designing curricula to include outcomes and assessments
Developing training program curriculum to improve soft skills concerning life, citizenship and employability skills for youth
Ensure the safety of team members and project participants from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors or Masters in Science/Social Science/Business/Education from any recognized University with Minimum CGPA 3 and above.

Experience Requirement:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in education management which includes educational project development, quality, curriculum, materials, capacity development and other technical areas of education.
Experience training and working with youth and adolescents is preferable.
Previous experience working on youth livelihoods and/ or leadership programs is preferable.
